Travel around Ghana is easy once you get used to it, and getting to Keta district is only a 2-3 hour tro-tro ride from Accra airport. The tro-tro is a kind of mini bus and is by far the easiest and cheapest method of transport around Ghana. If you don’t know where one is heading then don’t be afraid to ask!
- Coming from Accra, the best place to find a direct tro-tro to Keta is at Tudu or Ashaiman.
- Coming from Ho, you will have to catch one tro-tro to Akatsi, then another to Keta.
- Coming from Ada, you also have to do the trip in stages, changing vehicles at Ada Kasseh and Sogakope.
- Coming from Ada Foah, you can take a motorised canoe across the Volta River to Anyanui, or take the ferry if it is a market day (Wednesdays).
